Job Summary and Qualifications
The Orthopedic Clinical Coordinator is responsible for the delivery of safe, quality care of orthopedic patients with oversight of the unit's operations, acting as a liaison to physicians in regards to patient information, company policy and procedures
About this unit:
Ability to specialize and be an empathetic RN working with patients dealing with chronic pain and mobility concerns as well as trauma patients
Work closely with the Surgical Team (Surgeons, NPs, PAs) caring for a diverse group of post surgical patients.
12-Bed Unit providing opportunity to specialize in Ortho and Surgical
Responsibilities:
Functions as a team lead, educating and mentoring staff as appropriate.
Works as a team member ensuring high levels of communication with patients; conducts patient quality and rounds, addressing patient issues as required.
Assumes responsibility for meeting quality outcomes and performance improvement initiatives.
What qualifications you will need:
- Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing, ADN required; BSN preferred.
- Current state of Missouri RN licensure required.
- BLS certification required at hire and maintained.
- Orthopedic certification must be obtained within one (1) year.
- Two (2) years prior experience, preferably in orthopedic care.
