Position Description
Provide systems engineering support to the Strategic & Operational Rocket and Missile Systems (STORM) Project Management Office (PMO). Engineering support includes providing technical expertise on the Multiple Launch Rocket Systems (MLRS): M2701A1/M270A2 and High Mobility Artillery Rocket System (HIMARS). Provide support with the Advanced Field Artillery Tactical Data System (AFATDS) as it interfaces with MLRS & HIMARS to include tactical radio communications. Provide support to the MLRS/HIMARS Family of Munitions (MFOM) capabilities requirements. Manage multiple technical tasks as well as personnel requirements needed to complete the tasks. Prepare documentation and training material for software updates to Fire Control System (FCS) and other STORM products. Conduct analyses of operational requirements and software capabilities as well as inter-operational requirements. Provide support in Fire Control System (FCS) software fielding activities, prepare training material and conduct unit level training, translate operational requirements into detailed software/system requirements, and develop new concepts in Field Artillery Launcher capabilities as related to communications and overall mission execution.
Your future duties and responsibilities
Support all levels of staff including peers, team members, management and customer.
Support test team and fielding team members on a technical basis to ensure that they provide correct solution to the operational users.
Develops new concepts in Field Artillery Launcher capabilities as related to communications and overall mission execution.
Responsible for tracking and reporting software deficiencies identified by operational users according to the projects processes and procedures.
Must be capable of translating operational requirements into detailed software/system requirements.
Prepare training material and conduct unit level training
Provide support in FCS software fielding activities
Required qualifications to be successful in this role
MUST have experience with HIMRS and/or MLRS platforms
Strong oral and written communication skills
Demonstrated ability to work effectively with others
Must be a self-starter which requires minimal supervision.
Must be able and willing to travel, to include international travel (less than 25%)
Requires a valid US tourist passport
Must possess a US Secret clearance
Capability to communicate and develop briefing products in MS Office Suite of programs
Due to the nature of the government contracts this position requires US Citizenship.
CGI is required by law in some jurisdictions to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $44,000 - $82,000.
