Job Description
Emergency Department - Registered Nurse

24 months of role experience is required.
12 months of Emergency Department experience is preferred.
3 months of experience with Epic is required.
Requirements:
Candidates must have a North Dakota license or compact license in hand at the time of application.
This role may require floating to additional units and locations
Candidates must live at least 50 miles away from this facility in order to be eligible to apply for this role.
COVID vaccination required for onboarding. Declinations not accepted.

Common diagnoses/Types of patients: All populations
Common drips: Vasopressors, heparin, antiarrhythmics
Is there a Charge Nurse on each shift? Does the charge nurse take an assignment?: Charge Nurse
Are there nurse aids/EMT/Paramedics/Patient Sitters on each shift? Ratios? Duties?: 1 tech
Shifts & Scheduling: 12 hour shifts with varied start times: 7a-7p, 9a-9p, 11a-11p, 2p-2a, 7p-7a // Clinical manager does the scheduling according to staffing needs and staff availability
Weekend Requirements: Every other
Holiday Requirements: Every other
Floating Requirements: Varies
How many shifts of unit/department specific orientation?: 1-2 shifts in the ER
Candidates may not be full time, part time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and/or Dignity.
RTO needed upfront (7 or less days per 13 week contract). Additional RTO will not be approved, including after submissions.
