Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Experience:

24 months of role experience is required.

24 months of Medical Surgical Oncology experience is required.

Experience with Epic is required.

Requirements:

Candidates must have a West Virginia license or compact license prior to placement start.

This role may require floating to additional units and locations

Candidates must live at least 50 miles away from this facility in order to be eligible to apply for this role.

COVID vaccination required for onboarding. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

Flu vaccination required for onboarding. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

Additional Details:

Previous perm staff must be gone for 2 years before they are eligible to return in a traveler capacity. No exceptions.

Artificial nails are not allowed for any travelers. Failure to adhere could result in being sent home and/or terminated if policy is not followed.

Drivers license address must be outside 50 miles from the facility

Previous perm candidates must be gone for 2 years

Previous travelers there for 1 full year must be gone for 2 years

Travel teams must be submitted together in 1 email

We are only permitted to submit 2 candidates per opening, if the position is at max, we will hold on to the submission if a spot opens up

TCTU ( Transplantation and Cellular Therapy Unit) is located within 9W. It specializes in hematological malignancies ( leukemias, myelomas, lymphomas), same RN requirements as 9W needs RN license, BLS, ACLS, chemo certification) ratios are 1: 3-4 so it is considered step down.

Required Certifications BLS AHA is required & ONS/Fundamentals of Chemotherapy (9hr course) Required

Common diagnoses/Types of patients Medical Oncology

Experience or Must have skills: Inpatient Oncology Experience ( solid tumors, Hematology/Oncology), Strong MedSurg experience -oncology experience required & ONS Chemo Certification. Chemo is administered on this unit.

Are RNs required to titrate drips? Yes

Scheduling is Preference Scheduling via KRONOS. Staff enter their schedule request 4 weeks at a time. Manager will balance the schedule.

Weekend Requirement Max of every other weekend

Holiday Requirement Travelers could possibly be scheduled on holidays. Must be flexible.

Is there a call or standby requirement? N/A

Floating Requirement Floating is required within the hospital to other units. Travelers on BMT would first float to either 9E or 9W. After this they would float to other units within the hospital.
