    Manager, Finance Analytics

    Your Role

    The Finance Manager of Strategic Initiatives FP&Ateam oversees the financial viability of all strategic initiatives through the use of ROI, DPP, and general oversight. The Finance Manager will report to the Director of Finance and Analytics. In this role you will be responsible for overseeing financial metrics, reporting, monthly financial close, and interacting with key stakeholders.Our leadership model is about developing great leaders at all levels and creating opportunities for our people to grow personally, professionally, and financially.     Your Work

    In this role, you will:

    • Manage activities of staff engaged in the short- and long-range financial planning and budgeting of labor and expenses for assigned business units and/or with focus on the timeliness, accuracy, efficiency and control environment of cash and investment operations
    • Manage department activities to promote profitability and ensure accurate budgeting and financial planning
    • Oversee development of mathematical models used in cost benefit analysis, short- and long-range projections and forecasts
    • Prepare annual operating budget and monitor costs to ensure compliance with budgetary guidelines
    • Responsible for implementing and managing performance measurement tools and methods and formal tracking, reporting and communication tools for projects or processes
    • Responsible for confirming benefits and ongoing costs are realized
    • Regularly report on financial health of the projects under your purview
    • Work with Enterprise PMO to confirm budgets and manage risks
    • Manage, Mentor, and grow team responsibility

    Your Knowledge and Experience

    • Requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
    • Requires at least 6 years of prior related experience including 2 years of management experience
    • MBA preferred
    • Must be familiar with general accounting principles
    • Must be willing to teach as well as be coached

    Pay Range: The pay range for this role is $109,120.00 to $163,680.00 for California.

    Note: Please note that this range represents the pay range for this and many other positions at Blue Shield that fall into this pay grade. Blue Shield salaries are based on a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, location (California, Bay area, or outside California), and current employee salaries for similar roles.
