We have an exciting opportunity for an LPN to join our Pediatric Neurology office located at 391 Myrtle Avenue in Albany, NY!
We provide excellent, comprehensive care to pediatric neurology patients ages 0-18. Our office is comprised of 4 physicians, 1 neuropsychologist, 3 part-time psychologists, 3 nurse practitioners, 1 case manager, 1 RN, 3 LPNs, 4 administrative staff members and a practice coordinator. We are a close-knit team who strive to make each patient experience exceptional.
Under the direction of the attending physician, RN, Lead LPN or practice coordinator, the LPN will provide direct patient care and assist in the following clinical functions to all providers.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Obtain and accurately record patients vital signs
Documents components of patients history
Communicates in an open and appropriate manner with patients, visitors and staff
Participates in in-office procedures under the direction and supervision of a licensed healthcare provider
Performs diagnostic CLIA waived testing
Performs venipuncture to obtain blood for lab testing
Prescription call-backs per scope of practice
Preps patients chart for pertinent clinical information
Maintains inventory of supplies, and keeps patient examination rooms stocked
Adheres to AMCs regulatory compliance issues
Qualifications:High School Diploma/G.E.D. - required
Previous experience in a patient care setting - preferred
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from physicians, patients and their family members or other employees within the work setting.
