    LOCATION: Hanover, PA

    Job Summary

    The Human Resource Generalist works in conjunction with the Human Resources Manager to run the daily functions of the HR Department and is responsible for a range of HR tasks with a strong emphasis on recruiting, onboarding, retention, HR Compliance, HRIS data entry and reporting, administering benefits, compensation, disability/leave administration and tracking, Workers Compensation administration, and maintaining confidential and up-to-date employee records.

    Basic Qualifications:

    • 3+ years work experience in Human Resources with emphasis on recruitment.
    • Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business, or other related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and work experience.
    • Thorough knowledge of HR related federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and practices, as well as general human resources policies and procedures.
    • Highly developed written and verbal communication skills, including presentation and training experience.
    • Ability to prepare, deliver and present analytical data using various computer software programs such as MS Office and other specialized software.
    • Strong empathy and interpersonal skills.
    • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
    • Desire to work as a team with a results-driven approach.
    • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.

    Desired Skills and Abilities:

    • PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP certification preferred.
    • Experience with Affirmative Action Plans and required tracking strongly preferred.

    Physical Requirements

    • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
    • Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
    • Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organizations facilities.

    Schedule

    • Monday through Friday.
    • Salaried/Exempt position.
    • Core hours are 8:00 am 5:00 pm
