What You'll Be Doing
- Oversee QC for 9 agg plants, Philadelphia portables, Downingtown recycle
- Provide technical guidance and support to ~8 indirect reports
- Monitor/manage day to day compliance with specifications/targets
- Heavy engagement with QC Techs on testing, customer complaints, statistical tracking
- Perform hands-on lab work as required (Tech shortage, etc.)
- Must be available as required for nights/weekends (assuming this will be salaried position)
- Engage with Operations, Sales and Construction on product quality, bid specifications, etc.
- Annual update of state required PennDOT QC plans, also ensure compliance throughout year
- Oversite of daily DOT certifications
- Identify continuous improvement opportunities (product and yield optimization)
- Implementing required standards, processes in HM labs
- Implement corrective action for any deficiencies found in labs or Technicians
- Training and development of new Technicians
What Are We Looking For
- PennDOT Aggregate Technician certification preferred. Must be willing and able to pass the certification if it is not currently held
- Solid computer skills, MS Excel experience is required
- Demonstrated basic math skills
- Must be able to left over 50 lbs. on a regular basis
- Ability to work overtime as needed
- Ability to work independently
- Strong communication skills to interact with customers, contractors and plant personnel
