Fire Tech Lead with License at Haltom City with 1 Stone Solutions

Full Time : Monday - Friday

7:00am - 4:00pm

Hourly Rate: $20.00-$23.00 / hr based on Experience

Location: Haltom City, TX

    MINIMUM EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND CERTIFICATION: 

    • High School Diploma or GED required 
    • Valid Driver's License required 
    • Valid Fire Alarm Technician License required 
    • 4 Years Trade Experience required 
    • Fire Alarm Trade School preferred Experience with public school districts or colleges/universities preferred. 
    • Bilingual is advantageous
    • Able To lift minimum 35-50lbs 
    • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. 
    • Must pass a pre-employment Drug Screen and Criminal Background/Fingerprint
    • Must Be 18 years and older

    GENERAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Assists with the implementation of strategic short- and long-range plans. 
    • Collaborates closely with the department's MEP Supervisor regarding routine maintenance as well as long-range projects and planning concerns, including preventive maintenance. 
    • May collaborate with department staff, principals, upper-level administrators, outside consultants, vendors, and contractors in the daily execution of duties. 
    • Assesses the condition of the district's facilities and building systems and provides written communication for use with work orders, budgeting, and long-range planning. 
    • Coordinates building systems and maintenance work with other departmental functions to ensure quality customer service in the district 
    • Uses the department's work order system to manage the productivity and efficiency of facility repairs and daily operations. Tracks work orders and ensures that the work is completed in a timely manner. Reviews completed work orders for results, time, and materials. Verifies completion and quality of work. 
    • Assists in selecting, testing, and ordering in-house supplies, equipment, and materials. Ensures products are safe to use and a proper inventory is maintained. 
    • Assist with troubleshooting, repair, and installation of Fire Alarm systems across the district. 
    • Accepts other responsibilities as assigned by the director. 
    • Attends all required meetings. 
    • Works on special projects. 
    • Performs other duties as assigned

    PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS:


    Job location may be in the office, shop, warehouse, vehicle, outdoors, on roofs, in crawl spaces, above ceilings, and below floors. Frequently exposed to dirt, dust, noise, vibration, fumes, odors, wetness/humidity, darkness or poor lighting, and extreme temperatures. Periodically exposed to mechanical, chemical, electrical, and fire hazards. Sits, stands, walks, bends, and twists daily. Kneels, crouches, squats, climbs, and lifts several times per week. Lifts up to 50 pounds and frequently lifts up to 35 pounds


    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

    This candidate must demonstrate knowledge of the job. Skills in installation and maintenance of fire alarm systems, troubleshooting and ability to read and understand wiring diagrams and schematics. Knowledge of NFPA rules and regulations. Knowledge of equipment and materials used in fire alarm systems. Skilled in oral and written communications. This individual must possess the ability to utilize computers and associated software/hardware, common to the industry. Possesses excellent people skills. Experienced in the motivational leadership of staff and managing of work schedules. Requires reading, mathematical and written language abilities.
