What You'll Be Doing
- Operate and monitor bulk cement terminal equipment, including railcar unloading systems and material transfer equipment
- Troubleshoot and perform hands-on maintenance to keep equipment running and minimize downtime
- Load and unload cement from railcars and trucks while ensuring efficient and safe material flow
- Inspect equipment, identify issues, and complete basic mechanical repairs using tools and diagnostic skills
- Ensure accuracy of orders, documentation, and inventory records
- Maintain a safe, clean work environment and follow all safety and environmental standards
What Are We Looking For
- Experience in industrial, mechanical, rail, construction, or heavy equipment environments (not just warehouse)
- Strong mechanical aptitude and comfort using tools for troubleshooting and basic repairs
- Experience operating or working around heavy equipment, conveyors, or bulk material systems
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of equipment and daily operations
- Basic knowledge of safety protocols and procedures
- Reliable work ethic with a strong commitment to safety and teamwork
Conditions of Employment
- Successful candidates must submit to a post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen, and background check.
- Some positions require FMCSA-regulated ongoing drug and alcohol testing.
Work Environment
- Role operates primarily in environments where conditions include moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, cold, humidity, and elevated noise levels.
