The Network Engineer, a pivotal role in our company, determines the overall architecture of the enterprise networking environment and is responsible for implementing medium to large-scale enterprise network projects. This position functions as a highly experienced technical lead, providing guidance and consulting on complex network projects. The Network Engineer leads network solutions' design, implementation, and testing, ensuring adherence to technical standards and best practices. This position also collaborates with stakeholders to evaluate business and technical requirements, assess risks, and design interconnectivity solutions, which is crucial to our success.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Develops overall network architecture, technical standards, and best practices, providing design and direction for complex systems and integration for interoperability and availability.
  • Determines the overall architecture of solutions in coordination with management, leading the evaluation, implementation, customization, testing, and integration of highly complex network solutions.
  • Designs and implements complete solutions autonomously, providing leadership and technical direction to a project team for planning, organizing, and implementing solutions with minimal supervision.
  • Collaborates with stakeholders to evaluate business requirements and determine technical requirements and solution options, including assessing risks and identifying countermeasures for data security and control.
  • Engages with user representatives and business stakeholders to gather and comprehend necessary changes to systems and platforms.
  • Functions as an expert consultant to management and project teams during all phases of solution implementation by providing technical expertise, guidance, work direction, and hands-on project support, as directed by project team managers.
  • Remains current on new network technologies, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Acts as the innovator in evaluating new capabilities and recommends their adoption to management. Provides technical leadership in specific state-of-the-art technologies to determine their suitability.
  • Identifies, analyzes, and defines communications solutions for the interconnectivity of business functions in many specialized technical environments.
  • Identifies existing environments and determines optimum configurations and integration requirements to allow communications between local, national, or other wide-area network environments.

Requirements, Competencies, and Certifications:

  • Proficient in specific technical areas (e.g., switches, firewalls, routers, gateways, fiber networking, enterprise Wi-Fi) such as cloud and data center network infrastructure, including multi-site and multi-cloud environments.
  • Broad knowledge of information technology with regard to hardware and software developments, telecommunication developments, and industry technology use.
  • Proven experience in developing superior technology solutions, products, services, or procedures.
  • Solid understanding of networks and the interoperability between solutions through networks
  • Ability to provide timely, high-quality, and professional support to resolve highly technical and/or business problems.
  • Experience in applying new technologies to solve business problems.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, self-motivated, and adaptable in a fast-paced, dynamic, deadline-driven environment.

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.
  • Six (6) to Eight (8) years of related experience in network architecture evaluation, design, testing, and implementation.
  • ASW-certified Advance Network.
  • Proficiency in network segmentation, URL filtering, dynamic routing, IP addressing subnetting, VLAN, BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, and RIP.
  • Enterprise Wi-Fi Setup and configuration on Aruba Controllers and AP.
  • Experience with routing protocol and switching.
  • In-depth knowledge of networking equipment, cabling standards, network protocols, and advanced network services.
  • Broad experience in setup and configuration on Brocade switches and load balancers.
