THIS ROLE IS HYBRID. Requires 2 days a week in either or Walnut Creek, CA or Phoenix, AZ office.

Job Summary

The Cloud Integration Engineer on the Technology Applications team will be responsible for the design and implementation of transformative solutions and services. This position will work closely with architects, product managers, business stakeholders and other engineers to develop highly available, efficient and reliable solutions.

Core Job Responsibilities

• Understand the organizations existing application landscape and make recommendations to enhance or improve it

• Write code that is reusable, effective and scalable

• Provide recommendations on the best approach to bridge the gap between business needs and technical implementations

• Build APIs on Google Cloud or integrate with APIs of SaaS applications

• Decomposing large complex problems into component parts, as well as having the ability to provide and contribute at all levels across build, test, implementation and integration activities

• Maintain and update architecture diagrams

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of Application & Software Development

• Adept at designing and integrating SOAP and REST services

• Knowledge of Object Oriented Programming using Python, Go, or Node.js

• Create unit test plan/cases, conduct code and unit test walk-throughs

• Well versed in collaboration tools (Jira, Confluence) and code maintenance in source control (Git preferred)

• Experience working with cross-functional team of analysts, data scientists, SMEs and developers

• Experience with Google Cloud and Apigee is an added advantage

• Self-starter, team player and problem solver

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills required

Education & Experience

• 5+ years minimum experience working with related technology in an agile team environment

• Architectural knowledge integrating with SOAP and REST services

• 3+ years Python

• Must have experience in the following Google Cloud Platform technologies: Cloud Functions, Cloud SQL, Cloud Storage, Apigee, CloudRun, Cloud PubSub

• Good to have a current Google Cloud or AWS developer certification
