Job Title: Cognos/ETL Developer Job Location: Quantico, VA Overview: Abacus Technology is seeking a Data Warehouse and Analytics Developer to provide technical support for the US Air Force Office of Special Investigations (AFOSI) in Quantico. This is a full-time position. Major Duties & Responsibilities: • Support Cognos program systems, including installations, configuration, patching, upgrading, and performance tuning for Cognos Analytics application/web servers in a DoD environment.
• Assist with customer requirements for Cognos Data Modules, Reports and Dashboards.
• Provide application security vulnerability mitigation and STIG management for Cognos and IBM software.
• Ensure that all application deliverables and systems comply with applicable DISA Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) or Security Requirements Guides.
• Assist with IBM Cognos Security and Administration functions.
• Identify and report system risks. Qualifications: 3+ years experience using Cognos Analytics 11+. Bachelor’s degree in a related field desired. Must be certified at IAT Level II (e.g., Security+, or other certification satisfying DoD 8140 certification requirements). Cognos Analytics Security and Administration certification a plus. Strong knowledge of SQL scripting and data relationships. Experience with Cognos Analytics 11+ and IBM InfoSphere, DataStage, and QualityStage. Must have experience applying STIGs. Experience creating, reviewing, and revising security documentation and artifacts. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows technologies (server 2019/2022), including Active Directory, server cert management, and IIS. Experience installing, configuring, and maintaining IBM Cognos. Experience with ETL processes using IBM InfoSphere/DataStage servers desired. Experience with Oracle 19 databases and SQL scripting. Experience in a DoD or law enforcement environment desired. Strong attention to detail. Strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task. Able to work independently and with a team. Must be a US citizen and hold a current Top Secret clearance.
