Position Summary:
The General Manager leads our aviation cabin services operation at a major airline hub in Boston Logan Airport. This role oversees large-scale teams responsible for delivering high-quality cabin cleaning services in a fast-paced, highly regulated aviation environment. The GM ensures operational excellence, drives safety and compliance standards, strengthens client relationships, and manages performance outcomes across staffing, budget, and service delivery. This leader will champion a people-first culture, optimize workforce scheduling, and ensure our teams consistently support an exceptional passenger experience.
Operational Leadership
- Oversee daily cabin cleaning operations for a high-volume aviation client, ensuring service quality, safety, and regulatory compliance.
- Lead a workforce of up to 400 team members, including managers and supervisors, while promoting a positive and performance-driven culture.
- Optimize staffing, scheduling, and workflow efficiency in a fast-paced airport environment.
Client & Stakeholder Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with airline leadership and airport partners.
- Serve as the primary on-site point of contact, addressing service needs, operational updates, and performance outcomes.
- Present monthly operational and financial results to both internal and external stakeholders.
People Leadership & Development
- Recruit, develop, coach, and mentor management and front-line teams to support operational excellence.
- Implement training and skill-development programs aligned with aviation safety and customer experience standards.
- Manage performance, corrective action, and employee engagement initiatives.
Safety, Quality & Compliance
- Partner with Safety and Quality teams to execute metric-based safety programs that meet aviation requirements.
- Ensure compliance with airport regulations, client protocols, and industry standards.
- Drive continuous improvement across quality assurance audits, incident prevention, and process enhancements.
Financial & Administrative Management
- Manage budgets, payroll, resource allocation, and cost-control initiatives.
- Identify and implement cost-savings opportunities without compromising service quality.
- Prepare and deliver operational reports, proposals, and performance documentation on schedule.
Required
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in operations, aviation services, hospitality, or related fields.
- 5+ years of leadership experience in large-scale operations (aviation, hospitality, transportation, logistics, or similar industries preferred).
- Experience managing large teams (200+ employees) through multiple layers of leadership.
- Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, staffing plans, schedules, and operational KPIs.
- Strong communication, client-facing, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Proven success working in fast-paced, regulated, or 24/7 environments.
Preferred
- Experience in airport operations, airline services, or aviation cabin cleaning.
- Knowledge of FAA, TSA, or airport-related safety protocols (training provided if needed).
- Experience building client relationships at the director/executive level.
