We are looking for a reliable and experienced Assistant Chief Engineer at Boston Scientific, that will be responsible for all aspects of facility management services and/or operations. The Assistant Chief Engineer is ABM's primary point of contact for day-to-day operations. They will create an unwavering attitude and commitment to safety and reliability within the facility management environment. The Chief will drive continual improvements to the operation by creating an expectation of learning and development of their team members.

Pay: $48.00 per hour. 

The pay listed is the hourly range or the hourly rate for this position. A specific offer will vary based on applicant’s experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, and alignment with market data.

Responsibilities

· Ability to learn, navigate and complete work orders within Service Zone, Orange QC and Qualtrics and BMRam.

· Managing and prioritizing workload

· Performs building maintenance as required, i.e. painting, plumbing repairs, etc.

· Performs scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on facilities equipment, i.e. air compressor, HVAC system, etc.

· Will work from rough sketches and drawings.

· Oversee contract work.

· Maintain and update maintenance records, logs, and documentation in accordance with ISO, GMP, and company policies.

· Respond to facility alarms, excursions, and emergency situations, ensuring systems return to operational standards quickly.

· Being able to be on call and work after hours.

· Support cleanroom environmental controls, including pressure differentials, temperature, humidity, and particle monitoring.

· Collaborate with Quality, Engineering, and Production teams to support cleanroom operations and continuous improvement.

· Follow all cleanroom contamination control procedures, including proper gowning, sanitization, and cleaning protocols.

· Ensure compliance with OSHA safety standards and company EHS (Environmental Health & Safety) programs.

· Fire alarm system support, rounds and panel.

· General and applied knowledge and computer related skills

· Inventory of supplies utilized within services requested

· Carpet or floor tile repair and replacement

· Ceiling tile replacement

· Light bulb replacement and proper disposal

· Wall baseboard repair and replacement

· Gypsum repair and general painting skill set

· Interior and exterior door and cabinetry basic maintenance including weather stripping, hinges, threshold and proper reveal

· Knowledge of plumbing including flushometer, flush valves and diaphragm function and troubleshooting

· General PM checks of areas and equipment within scope

· Wall mounting of artwork, dry erase board and AV monitors knowledge of gypsum anchoring and steel stud construction

· Locker repair and troubleshooting

· Other duties as assigned

Required:
• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or related technical field, or five (5) years of equivalent experience 
• Entry level Engineers with Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or related field and no work experience in Preferred

  • Boilers License, EPA Refrigeration Card, Driver's License - Required

 

Qualifications: 
• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or related technical field with three (3) years of work experience is preferred 
• Without a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or related technical field, seven (7) years of experience is preferred
