As a Financial Analyst, supporting the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) Technical Offices you will be providing Financial Management support. The level of support varies from office to office and specific to the requirements of the Assistant Director of Program Management (ADPM) in each office. Primary duties include but are not limited to: preparation and Quality Assurance (QA) of budget execution documents (Purchase Requests (PRs), Military Inter-Departmental Purchase Requests (MIPRs), Statements of Work (SOW) and Federally Funded Research and Development Center (FFRDC) Justifications in Defense Agencies Initiative (DAI). Monitor, perform in-depth analysis and provide budget execution reporting for commitments, obligations and disbursements. Direct communication with executing Agents, internal POCs and other external stakeholders. In this role, a typical day will include: Collaborating with team members, and government clients as the Comptroller representative supporting Technical Offices.
Providing a high level of Quality Assurance (QA) of funding documents within the Defense Agencies Initiative (DAI) with a keen attention to detail and accuracy.
Provide budgetary, financial management and administrative support to the government Program Analyst (PA), other Technical Office System Engineering and Technical Assistance (SETAs) and Business Financial Manager (BFMs) support.
Attend regularly scheduled and ad-hoc meetings.
Track and provide reports for in process execution documents.
Simultaneously manage multiple tasks and shifting priorities.
Exercise sound judgement, professionalism, and prioritization to meet business deadlines.
Provide weekly and monthly Program Management reports.
Minimum Qualifications:
WHAT YOU’LL NEED: A BA/BS or MA/MS degree in business or related field of study. Six (6) years’ work experience may be substituted for a BA/BS degree.
A minimum of three (3) to ten (10) years of general experience in:
Analyzing and evaluating complex textual and/or quantitative information in order to make comparisons among alternatives or to make recommendations for corrections or improvements in process, operations, or policies
Experience with automated systems.
Ability to extract and report reliable data.
Sound oral and written communication skills and excellent attention to detail.
Experience communicating with various levels of personnel.
Shall have (5) years of specialized experience in similar services:
Knowledge of DoD accounting principles and the ability to analyze and prepare financial documents in compliance with regulations.
An active secret clearance is required.
Proficient with Outlook, Teams, Excel, Word and PowerPoint highly desired.
Defense Agency Initiative (DAI) experience highly desirable.
Experience with DARPA highly desirable.
