In this role, you will run sophisticated data pipelines, and ensure compliance with data governance standards. If you are a professional who is a quick learner, adaptable, and ready to take on a variety of challenges, apply now!What you bring to the tablePriorities can often change in a fast-paced environment like ours, so this role includes, but is not limited to, the following responsibilities:    Mentor and provide guidance to junior data engineers, promoting a culture of excellence and growth.Engage with customers to facilitate compliant access to sensitive data.Lead all aspects of the management and optimization of data pipelines for compliance processing within our data ecosystem.Collaborate with our SRE team to develop and maintain a robust and compliant data infrastructure with minimal friction.Build APIs for integration with our internal systems and third-parties.Maintain data quality and pursue continuous improvement and innovation in data governance practices.Minimum RequirementsExperience7 years of experience in data engineering or a related field.Experience in production with cloud computing platforms like AWS, GCP, Azure.Production experience with version control tools and a validated understanding of containerization, build, and deployment processes (e.g., Argo CI/CD, GitHub, Jenkins, Airflow, Docker, Kubernetes, etc.).Knowledge & SkillsComfortable with one or more computer programming languages such as Java, Kotlin, Scala, Python, etc.Expertise in both streaming and batch-based streaming technologies including Flink, Kafka, Spark.Familiar with privacy legislation with an understanding of its implications on data collection, reporting, and compliance.Key AttributesExcellent problem-solving, analytical skills and ability to navigate ambiguity in an effort to provide efficient solutions for sophisticated problems.Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work with data partners independently.Extra PointsExperiencePrevious experience in leading compliance related initiatives relating directly to data and privacy legislation (GDPR, CCPA, COPPA, etc.)Your PlatformDemonware is a member of the Activision family of studios. These values reflect the expected annualized base pay range of new hires in British Columbia, Canada. Actual amounts will vary depending on experience, performance and location. In addition to a competitive base pay, employees in this role may be eligible for incentive compensation.
