Description Primary responsibilities involve the assessment of the current environment, development, and delivery of technical recommendations for short- and long-term solutions to align with organization goals and resolve technical restraints. Support a team that executes all monitoring, maintaining, operating, and troubleshooting daily of remote access technologies with an emphasis on all Citrix Technologies including Netscalers, Storefront Servers, Delivery Controllers, Provisioning Servers, Machine Creation Services and VDI Desktops. Must have a clear understanding of Windows Active Directory and a Multi-Farm Citrix Environment. Should understand and manage performance metrics and the ability to troubleshoot and rectify issues that occur within the Citrix environment. Must possess the knowledge to install, integrate and troubleshoot applications delivered via the Citrix environment deployment technologies. The engineer should have knowledge of both native Citrix Tools and consoles to manage and troubleshoot the Citrix environment. Provide supporting documentation and develop standards for personnel to follow. Certifications such as CCP-V, CCE-V, MCSA, and MCSE are desired, but not required. The candidate will join a team of Architects, Engineers, and Operators and work in a collaborative multi-functional team environment supporting multiple mission-critical data center sites. Typical Duties Include: * Assessment of a Multiple Farm Citrix environment system and other related technologies.
* Develop technical recommendation based on assessment to align with organization goals.
* Support and preserve the Virtual Desktop setup of the institution, which includes, NetScaler (ADC) XenDesktop (PVS or MCS), XenApp, along with backend support.
* Generate and provide reports, training documentation, along with standards and guidance.
* Design, evaluate, test and implement and maintain platform security, within customer standards.
* Upgrade the system's applications, installing it with up-to-date descriptions.
* Execution of strengthening apps, the Windows server, and the principal operating system.
* Provide technical assistance for all the servers, desktops, and services that apply business.
* Apply, implement, maintain, and examine the documentation of the Virtual Desktop Infrastructure.
* Execute helpdesk calls and classify cases according to their priorities and accelerations.
* Ensure the integrity and availability of applications and coordinate off-hour upgrades and/or maintenance on the Citrix server * Identify and apply environment best practices
* Explore and leverage technologies to improve the environment
* Support break/fix production activities
* Participate in designs for new hosted applications
* Assist in internal customer support for infrastructure and business-facing IT teams
* Collaborate with additional teams and associates with processes and documentation

* OS training within 30 days after start date * 8+ Years relevant technical experience
* Understanding and experience deploying/managing PVS servers and and/or Citrix MCS imaging processes and servers as well as supporting multiple Windows Server(2016, 2019, & 2022), Windows 10 and Windows 11 images.
* Strong experience with Windows Server 2012-2019 features including Active Directory Domain Services, NTFS permissions, DFS shares, Account and Security group management, DNS, DHCP, and advanced Group Policy administration
* Experience with scripting/automation using PowerShell. Other scripting programming considered.
* Understanding of Citrix DaaS on AWS (hands on experience is nice to have, but not required). * Working knowledge of routing protocols, network topologies, data flow, and impact of Citrix traffic throughout a LAN/WAN
* Ability to fully conceptualize all aspects of Citrix products such as XenDesktop/XenApp FMA (Virtual Apps and Desktops), Provisioning Services, ADM, and NetScaler Gateway (ADC).
* Ability to fully deploy/manage NetScaler ADC features such as: Two-armed routing configuration, LDAP authentication, SSL certificates, SSL Offloading, Load Balanced VIPs, Services, Gateways, Session and Authentication Policies, and Smart Access/Control.
* Experience deploying and configuring core components of multiple large Citrix sites with some assistance. Including NetScaler (ADC) HA Pairing, StoreFront clusters, Delivery Controllers, XenApp Server VDAs, PVS/MCS XenDesktop VDI, and License servers. Database support is a plus.
* Citrix Netscaler experience is a plus (or willing to learn).
