Model Based Systems Engineer (MBSE) Kennedy Space Center - Merritt Island, FL Minimum 5 years of directly related full-time work experience is required for considerat ion. We are seeking a skilled and motivated MBSE Modeler to join our team. The MBSE Modeler will be responsible for developing and maintaining model-based systems engineering (MBSE) models and architectures to support enterprise-level activities, system requirements, analysis, design, and verification and validation throughout the system lifecycle. Aegis Aerospace has been selected by NASA to provide insight, surveillance, systems engineering, analysis, and mission operations support services to the Deep Space Logistics (DSL) Project at the agency's Kennedy Space Center in Florida. Under the Deep Space Logistics Engineering Support (LENS) contract, our employees will provide engineering support to NASA to review and assess activities of the Gateway Logistics Services (GLS) IDIQ Contract Commercial Service Provider. This effort may include the review and assessment of the requirements, design, analysis, testing, manufacturing, verification, validation, assembly, integration, checkout, mission preparations and operations required to deliver cargo and payloads to the lunar Gateway, or for other DSL mission projects and interests. Responsibilities * Develop and maintain MBSE models and architectures using tools such as MagicDraw (Cameo Systems Modeler). * Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define system requirements and ensure they are accurately captured in the models. * Perform scoping analyses to determine the value of applying MBSE and select appropriate frameworks and approaches for new projects. * Create and manage system requirements, ensuring traceability and alignment with project goals. * Conduct model-based analysis to support design decisions and trade-offs. * Develop model profiles, tool plug-ins, architecture frameworks, and model queries. * Support verification and validation activities by ensuring models accurately represent system behavior and performance. * Provide training and support to team members on MBSE tools and methodologies. * Continuously improve MBSE practices and contribute to the development of best practices and standards. Required Experience * Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field and 10+ years of experience, or Master's degree in Systems Engineer, Computer Science or related field and 5-7 years of experience. * Proven experience in model-based systems engineering, including developing and maintaining MBSE models. * Proficiency with MBSE tools such as MagicDraw/Cameo Systems Modeler. * Experience with scripting/macro development preferred (python, JavaScript, Groovy) * Strong understanding of systems engineering principles and practices. * Experience with object modeling or object-oriented design concepts and techniques, including UML or SysML. * Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. * Strong communication and collaboration skills. * Ability to work independently and as part of a team. * Continuous learning mindset and ability to adapt to new tools and methodologies. Preferred experience * Experience with digital engineering transformation initiatives. * Familiarity with enterprise architecture frameworks and methodologies. * Knowledge of software development and integration processes.
