The International Programs (IP) team's mission is to collaborate with international governments, industry, and other U.S. Government departments and agencies on space systems development and acquisition in support of the Space Force Space Systems Command (SSC). Through close coordination with key U.S. departments and agencies, the IP team brings space systems expertise to develop space cooperation with international partners and commercial entities that enhances the U.S. DoD space architecture's effectiveness and resiliency. We are looking for an Armaments Cooperation Engineer Senior Member of Technical Staff- International Programs & Enterprise Architect Engineering . As the Armaments Cooperation Engineer, you will bring space systems technical knowledge to develop space security cooperation with international partners and commercial entities that enhance the U.S. DoD space architecture's effectiveness and resiliency . Work Mode l This is a full-time position based in El Segundo, CA, offering a 100% onsite work model that combines 5 regular onsite workdays and remote /hybrid flexibility as the business needs allow . What You'll Be Doing * Provide technical and programmatic knowledge to USG customers to develop international space security cooperation partnerships enhancing the U.S. DoD space architecture. * Lead exploratory discussions and negotiations between U.S. stakeholders and international partners to design and acquire space systems that are interoperable and complementary to the US DoD space war-fighting capabilities and requirements. * Apply technical expertise and leadership skills for space systems acquisition to facilitate collaboration across various Aerospace and USG organizations, the SSC programs, and allied governments. * Collaborate with multiple mission area leads such as Such as SATCOM, Position Navigation & Timing (PNT), Space Domain Awareness (SDA), Assured Access to Space (AATS), Space sensing, Battel Management Command and Control (BMC3), and Surveillance, Reconnaissance and Tracking (SRT). * Provide technical assessments regarding directives, policies, and regulations for government international agreements and Foreign Military Sales (FMS). * Facilitate the application of the Arms Export Control Act while implementing the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) for armaments cooperation, export control, technology transfer and foreign disclosure. What You Need to be Successful - Senior Member of Technical Staff- International Programs & Enterprise Architect Engineering Minimum Requirements: * Bachelor's degree from an accredited program in applicable STEM areas. * At least 5 years of applicable experience within research and development engineering, systems engineering, project engineering, or technology functions/ organizations. * Demonstrated leadership skills with proven ability to maintain effective working relationships. with contractors, industry professionals, government customers, and technical staff. * Ability to work closely with senior government leaders and guide discussions on space systems acquisition, design, test, production, and operations. * Acquisition and/or technical experience with U.S. and Allied systems in one or more mission areas, such as SATCOM, Launch, Space Domain Awareness (SDA) and Track (PNT), Battle Management Command, and Control (BMC3), Surveillance, & Reconnaissance and Tracking (SRT). * Willing to travel occasionally to work location or customer site / domestically/internationally approx. 25% * This position requires at least a Secret security clearance, which is issued by the U . S . government. U.S . citizenship is required to obtain a security clearance. How You Can Stand Out It would be impressive if you have one or more of these: * Advanced degree from an accredited program in applicable STEM areas. * More than 5 years of applicable experience within research and development engineering, systems engineering, project engineering, or technology functions/ organizations. * Program office experience, focusing on space systems architecture development or analysis. * Significant experience working the Arms Export Control Act, International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), export control, technology transfer, and foreign disclosure matters and/or in supporting international armaments cooperation agreements. * Hands-on experience in developing cooperation agreements, and foreign military sales. * Previous experience working with allied governments, other U.S. government agencies, academia, and industry. * A current and active TS/SCI security clearance, which is issued by the US government. U.S citizenship is required to obtain a security clearance.
