Job Description: This position supports the Office of Assistant Secretary of the Army and Financial Management & Comptroller, General Fund Audit Sustainment. The Budget Analyst will be a part of the Army's financial statement auditability initiatives to assist in a broad range of financial management services to support the audit and remediation of the Army's General Fund Financial Statement Audit (GFFSA). We are currently seeking a Budget Analyst to support the Budget Formulation and Execution team: * Supporting audit remediation of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and evidential matter issues.
* Assist in performing financial audits, including developing account payable accruals, documenting receipt and acceptance issues and course of action for remediation, addressing unmatched collection and disbursement transactions, and overall account receivable reimbursable process understanding.
* The ability to interpret Accounts Payable regulations, requirements, and policies, including changes, updates, and automated systems modifications, to ensure compliance.
* Manage, review, and deliver the Prepared by Client (PBC) and Sample requests with proper document retention.
* Facilitate audit proceedings, including Preparing by Client (PBC) requests and handling sample requests/reviews. Prepare detailed reports on audit findings and present suggestions for improving efficiency and controls. Experience Requirements: * 4 years of experience with federal financial management.
* Understanding of Account Receivable Reimbursable Process preferred.
* Previous Army experience preferred. Certification Requirements: Mandatory: No mandatory requirements Education Requirements: Mandatory: Master's degree in accounting, Finance, Information Technology, or Business Management Waiverable/Substitutable: Bachelor's degree and one of the following certifications: CDFM, CGFM, CICA, PMP (No waiver required for bachelor's degree and one of these certs) Work Type: OnSite - Arlington, VA Clearance Requirements: DoD Secret - Must have an active clearance for initial consideration.
