The Senior Accountant is responsible for directing the fiscal functions of the corporation in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles issued by the Financial Accounting Standards Board and the International Financial Reporting Standards Foundation, and in accordance with financial management techniques and practices appropriate within the industry.Essential FunctionsReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Work with Controlling to ensure that accounting records are being properly recorded and costs are attributed to the correct CGU / profit center Control and supervise monthly financial reporting, Balanced Score Card update and variance explanations, sales reporting. Responsible for quarterly IFRS reports to German parent company. Participate in budgeting and forecasting processes. Supervise and participate in the analysis of all financial aspects of the business. Participates in the development of the division s plans and programs alongside Controlling team Evaluate and advises on the impact of long-range planning and regulatory action. Develops credibility for the finance group by providing timely and accurate analysis of budgets, financial reports, and financial trends in order to assist the President, the Board and other senior executives of the European parent company in performing their responsibilities. Identify and mitigate financial risks. Supports Sales and Operations in decision making process by developing and continuously improving and reporting analyses of financial matters Enhances and/or develops, implement and enforce policies and procedures of the organization by way of systems that will improve the financial operation and effectiveness of the corporation. Establishes credibility throughout the organization and with e Board as an effective developer of solutions to business challenges. Provides technical financial advice and knowledge to others within the financial discipline. Continual improvement of the budgeting process through education of department managers on financial issues impacting department budgets. Provides strategic financial input and leadership on decision making issues affecting the organization. Optimizes the handling of bank and deposit relationships and initiate appropriate strategies to enhance cash position. Develops a reliable cash flow projection process and reporting mechanism that includes minimum cash threshold to meet operating needs. Ensures compliance with local tax regulations and reporting. Be an advisor from the financial perspective on any contracts into which the corporation may enter. Plan for continual improvement of the efficiency and effectiveness of the group as well as providing individuals with professional and personal growth with emphasis on opportunities (where possible) of individuals.Required Education and Experience Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field 10+ years of experience in finance or accounting 5+ years of experience in a leadership role Sage X3 and SAP R/3 and/or SAP S4 Hana (FI/CO) highly desirable Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially EXCEL and Power BI.
