PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and implement quality systems and procedures in accordance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and customer specifications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish quality metrics and monitor performance indicators to drive continuous improvement efforts.
  • Conduct internal audits to assess compliance with quality standards and identify areas for improvement.
  • Manage the documentation of quality processes, including the creation and maintenance of standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions.
  • Perform review and sign-off of all HACCP/CCP related documentation through our Redzone Compliance Software.
  • Coordinate and facilitate in all GFSI, customer or regulatory visits/audits, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and standards and follow-up of any CAPA’s as needed within provided timelines.


KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree in food science, quality management, or a related field preferred. Equivalent work experience may be considered.
  • Minimum 2+ years of experience in food safety or quality assurance.
  • SQF Practitioner, required.
  • HACCP Certification, required.
  • PCQI Certification, required.
  • Proven experience in implementing and maintaining quality management systems, preferably in the food industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards (e.g., FDA, HACCP, GMP, SQF).
  • Strong understanding of food safety principles and practices, including allergen control, sanitation, and traceability.
  • Experience in conducting audits, root cause analysis, and implementing corrective actions.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with keen attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all levels along with external customers.
  • Proficient in using computer software and systems for data analysis, documentation, and reporting.
