Now Hiring: Accounting Supervisor Chandler, AZ
AIMS Companies is seeking an experienced Accounting Supervisor to join our growing finance team in Chandler, AZ. This role is ideal for a hands-on accounting professional with strong technical expertise in fixed assets, sales & use tax, and ASC 842 lease accounting, along with proven leadership skills and a passion for process improvement and operational excellence.
Salary: $105,000 annually (DOE)

Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise daily accounting operations, including month-end close, financial reporting, and cash management
- Review and approve journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules
- Oversee the fixed asset subledger, including additions, disposals, and depreciation accuracy
- Lead sales & use tax compliance efforts and review tax-related transactions
- Manage ASC 842 lease accounting, including schedules, monthly entries, and new lease evaluations
- Review weekly payroll entries and ensure accurate posting
- Oversee corporate credit card program management and spend analytics
- Drive process improvements, system enhancements, and automation initiatives
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal controls, and company policies
- Coordinate and support annual audit and tax filing processes
- Supervise, mentor, and develop junior accounting staff, providing guidance and performance feedback
- Assist in workload planning, prioritization, and team development initiatives
Ideal Candidate:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 6 8+ years of progressive accounting experience, including supervisory or team lead experience
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and internal controls
- Hands-on experience with fixed assets, sales & use tax, and ASC 842 lease accounting
- Advanced Excel skills (PivotTables, VLOOKUPs, data analysis)
- Proven ability to lead, mentor, and develop staff
- Strong analytical, reconciliation, and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check
- Experience with Sage Intacct or construction/industrial services is a plus
