Now Hiring: Accounting Supervisor Chandler, AZ

AIMS Companies is seeking an experienced Accounting Supervisor to join our growing finance team in Chandler, AZ. This role is ideal for a hands-on accounting professional with strong technical expertise in fixed assets, sales & use tax, and ASC 842 lease accounting, along with proven leadership skills and a passion for process improvement and operational excellence.

Salary: $105,000 annually (DOE)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise daily accounting operations, including month-end close, financial reporting, and cash management
  • Review and approve journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules
  • Oversee the fixed asset subledger, including additions, disposals, and depreciation accuracy
  • Lead sales & use tax compliance efforts and review tax-related transactions
  • Manage ASC 842 lease accounting, including schedules, monthly entries, and new lease evaluations
  • Review weekly payroll entries and ensure accurate posting
  • Oversee corporate credit card program management and spend analytics
  • Drive process improvements, system enhancements, and automation initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal controls, and company policies
  • Coordinate and support annual audit and tax filing processes
  • Supervise, mentor, and develop junior accounting staff, providing guidance and performance feedback
  • Assist in workload planning, prioritization, and team development initiatives

Ideal Candidate:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 6 8+ years of progressive accounting experience, including supervisory or team lead experience
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and internal controls
  • Hands-on experience with fixed assets, sales & use tax, and ASC 842 lease accounting
  • Advanced Excel skills (PivotTables, VLOOKUPs, data analysis)
  • Proven ability to lead, mentor, and develop staff
  • Strong analytical, reconciliation, and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check
  • Experience with Sage Intacct or construction/industrial services is a plus
