AIMS Companies, a leading national provider of underground infrastructure inspection services, is seeking an operationally oriented and technically capable individual to serve as Procurement Manager. In this role, the selected candidate will oversee the company s procurement processes, primarily for fleet equipment, parts, and job materials.
AIMS manages over 400 assets across a national network of 15 locations and maintains hundreds of vendor relationships. This position will be responsible for developing and managing a controlled procurement process, optimizing vendor relationships, and establishing preferred vendor partnerships to support operational efficiency and cost control.
Key Responsibilities 1. Vendor Management-
Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers and vendors based on cost, quality, reliability, and service.

Streamline the vendor base and establish preferred vendor relationships.

Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships to ensure optimal performance and service levels.

Negotiate contracts and agreements to secure favorable terms and pricing.

Develop and implement a comprehensive procurement strategy aligned with company goals and operational needs, particularly for fleet, equipment, and parts.

Establish a procurement strategy that also addresses indirect spend.

Continuously assess market conditions and industry trends to identify cost savings and process improvement opportunities.

Partner with Finance to support budgeting, forecasting, and spend analysis.

Review and improve the current purchase order (PO) process.

Develop and implement company-wide PO policies and guidelines.

Ensure purchase orders are consistently used and closed in a timely manner in accordance with policy.

Analyze and manage procurement budgets to ensure cost-effectiveness and adherence to financial targets.

Implement cost-saving initiatives such as bulk purchasing, supplier consolidation, and strategic sourcing.

Work with Finance to develop and implement an inventory management process.

Focus on the Rehab business unit s commodity purchases to ensure optimal inventory levels.

Monitor and report on inventory levels to support operational efficiency.

Ensure compliance with procurement policies, procedures, and applicable regulations.

Maintain accurate procurement records including contracts, purchase orders, and supplier performance evaluations.

Manage and monitor field compliance with preferred vendor purchasing guidelines.

Bachelor s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).

3 5 years of procurement management experience or experience in a similar supply chain role.

Experience with Sage Intacct is a plus.
