The Air Force Civilian Service (AFCS) is looking for a TERM Prevention Analyst, (GS-0101-12) to serve in the 17th Training Wing (TRW), Office of the Installation Commander - Installation Integrated Resilience Office (CDV), Goodfellow Air Force Base (AFB), San Angelo, Texas.

In this position, you will serve as the Prevention Analyst at an Air Force installation. Under the direction of the Integrated Prevention Chief, the Prevention Analyst leads collection, analysis, interpretation, and visual implementation of data for the installation Integrated Resilience Office. Responsible for data management and routine analysis used in program evaluation and public health research within their community. Degree: At least a bachelor’s degree in a behavioral or social science; Combination of education and experience that provided the applicant with knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field.
Four years of appropriate experience that demonstrated that the applicant has acquired knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field.
Comprehensive and professional knowledge of laws, regulations, and policies as well as behavioral, social science and/or public health practices principles and theories relating to the prevention of violence and promotion of helping-seeking and resilience.
In-depth knowledge of DAF culture, military family dynamics, related professional fields, and a thorough knowledge of the DAF community and the unique challenges that DAF families face; Skill and ability to provide professional advisory services, develop and utilize appropriate data collection techniques and design, build, and use models and simulation techniques for prevention.
Ability to identify individual and community risk and protective factors in order to determine needed primary prevention activities to meet the needs of the base populace.
