This position is a NH-1670-03 which has a typical 2024 salary range of $88,205 - $136,357 (locality pay included). Recruitment and or relocation bonuses might be offered upon review of qualifications, and other significant factors The primary purpose of this position is to serve as an Equipment Specialist in the Secure Storage Division (AFNWC/NDW), overseeing Technical Content Management and Equipment Management functions for the Weapon Storage and Security System (WS3). The position provides critical nuclear technical direction and liaison on all matters pertinent to technical orders and manual support for this Air Force nuclear weapon system. Skillsets that are highly desired for this role: * Air Force Technical Order production experience * Air Force maintenance experience * Nuclear weapons surety experience * Understanding of equipment life-cycle management directives and commonly used Air Force equipment management systems, procedures and forms, such as: * Enhanced Technical Information Management System (ETIMS) * Time Compliance Technical Order (TCTO) production * Item Supply Support procedures/forms * Air Force Technical Orders and their associated change procedures/forms * Deficiency Report procedures/forms * Disposal and Demilitarization procedures/forms DUTIES: * Technical expert and Technical Content Manager (TCM) for assigned 11N Weapon Storage and Security System (WS3) technical orders. * Manage technical order content by evaluating and coordinating recommended changes, deficiency reports, accident/incident reports, and other source data. In conjunction with program engineers, ensure approved changes will not negatively affect system or equipment OSS&E. * Verify all procedural, maintenance or operational task changes. This includes technical orders in acquisition and the sustainment phase of the technical order program life cycle - in coordination with the Lead and supporting MAJCOMs * Leads the development of Technical Manual Contract Requirements (TMCR) documents (TM 86-01). A TMCR is used in all contracts for acquisition, sustainment or modification of systems and equipment when technical orders must be developed or updated. REQUIREMENTS FOR THE POSITION: * U.S. CITIZENSHIP * Ability to obtain a TOP SECRET security clearance. * Required to handle and safeguard sensitive and classified information in accordance with regulations to reduce potential compromise * Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills with demonstrated experience in leading, influencing and collaborating in a diverse team environment that includes external functional and program stakeholders. * Work may occasionally require travel away from the normal duty station, including overseas and on military or commercial aircraft. * This is a drug testing designated position and is subject to random drug testing.
