Job Summary: Five Rivers Services is currently seeking a Satellite Controller Technician (Trainee) to work in Kaena Point, HI. The Trainee will execute actions necessary to conduct satellite operations and maintenance required to sustain the operability of communications-electronics equipment located at the Remote Tracking Stations (RTS). Responsibilities Job Responsibilities: * Configures, operates and maintains assigned systems during satellite support, test, and maintenance activities.
* Initiates, directs and verifies completion of all operational events during the acquisition, tracking and commanding functions of each operational support.
* Maintains cognizance of station equipment status.
* Repairs and aligns all equipment in accordance with TOs/TMs or commercial manuals.
* Ensures Preventive Maintenance Inspection (PMI) activities are accomplished as scheduled.
* Maintains vehicle folders.
* Prepares daily activity log entries.
* Performs all required systems administration on mission related equipment. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: * Must possess an active Secret clearance, or higher.
* Associate degree in Electronics or equivalent experience in lieu of degree.
* Must possess strong communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
* Must be familiar with the use of and be able to operate electronic test equipment to include multimeters, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, frequency counters, signal generators, power meters, and data analyzers.
* Must be able to climb high ladders, work on elevated platforms and antennas.
* Must be able to perform strenuous physical work to include walking, lifting, pulling loads, bending, kneeling, sitting and reaching overhead.
Desired Qualifications: * Have one of the following DoD 8140.03 compliant certifications CompTIA Cloud+, GICSP, GSEC or SSCP.
* CompTIA Security Plus * Experience working with LINUX is preferred.
