We are excited to announce that we are looking for a Full-Time Surgical Coordinator at ourAtlantic Coast Gastroenterology office in Brick NJ.
The Surgical coordinator is Responsible
- for the scheduling of patients and coordination of documents required for hospital based and endoscopy center procedures over the phone Also responsible for following up on unscheduled or cancelled procedures.
- Clerical responsibilities include competently using general office equipment, obtaining accurate insurance, referrals and patient ID and coordinates pre-certification process.
- Notifies doctor of patient cancellations and follows up with patient per physician's instructions Coordinates and confirms procedure and pre-admission testing bookings with hospitals at least 48 hours before procedure
- May help out at the front desk at times
The Surgical coordinator must have the following qualifications and experience:
- High School graduate or GED.
- One year of prior medical office experience required.
