We are excited to announce that we are looking for a Full-Time, Medical Assistant Lead at Gastroenterology Group of Northern New Jersey in Englewood Cliffs, NJ.

The Medical Assistant Lead Responsibilities are:
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of medical assistants to ensure efficient patient care.
  • Train and mentor new medical assistants on best practices and protocols.
  • Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures as needed.
  • Manage patient scheduling and ensure timely follow-up on appointments and referrals.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Works well with both medical staff and patients to ensure a safe, quality experience for all patients.
  • Can perform duties accurately in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Comfortable multi-tasking with a sharp attention to detail.
  • Performs other duties as required.

The Medical Assistant Lead must have the following Qualifications and Experience:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Certification as a Medical Assistant from an accredited program.
  • At least 5 years of experience as a medical assistant, with 1 year in a supervisory role.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Associate's degree in healthcare or related field.
  • Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish
