As a Armed Security Foot Patrol Officer in Fort Lauderdale, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer supporting a commercial real estate location. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, stay visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and respond to concerns with clear communication and strong customer service. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a commercial real estate location.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of common areas, offices, lobbies, loading docks, parking areas, and the exterior perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including alarms, medical situations, disturbances, and property damage; request assistance from site contacts and/or public emergency services as needed.
  • Monitor access points and building activity, verify credentials and/or visitor authorization when required, and help to deter unauthorized entry and prohibited activity.
  • Document observations, patrols, and incidents in written and/or electronic reports, communicate notable activity to site management and Allied Universal supervision, and assist with follow-up actions per post orders.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A minimum of 2+ years' law enforcement, military police, and/or corrections experience is required.
  • A minimum of 2+ years of security-related experience is required.
  • A minimum of 1+ years' armed security, law enforcement, and/or military experience is required.
  • A DD214 with honorable discharge OR associates degree or 60 college credits OR police academy certificate OR corrections academy certificate is required.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
