What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting details and communicating with site contacts and/or local authorities as needed.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
- Monitor entrances, restricted areas, and public-facing spaces, verifying access permissions and reporting unusual conditions, hazards, and/or maintenance concerns.
- Support Allied Universal and site personnel with incident reporting, post orders, and preparedness activities while maintaining a professional presence in a dynamic government environment.
Minimum Requirements:
- Possess 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience, or a college degree.
- Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- A state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.
- Handcuffing certification is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
