As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Watch in Miami, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a government transit location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and interact professionally with employees, riders, and visitors. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government transit location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns through appropriate channels.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout transit areas, platforms, parking areas, buildings, and perimeter locations, with working environments and conditions varying by assignment.
  • Monitor access points and restricted areas to help support authorized entry, observe unusual activity, and/or report suspicious behavior, unattended items, or policy violations.
  • Work with local authorities, transit personnel, and/or emergency responders during incidents, service disruptions, or public interactions while following post orders and Allied Universal guidelines.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Three or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience, or a college degree, is required.
  • An armed guard card or license is required.
  • Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Handcuffing certification is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
