What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific procedures for a government location, assisting visitors, employees, and guests with entry screening and general directions.
  • Screen people and permitted items at designated access points using approved screening equipment and established protocols, and report prohibited items and/or unusual activity to appropriate personnel.
  • Verify identification, credentials, and visitor information before allowing access to restricted areas, following post orders and location policies.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and document security-related concerns, observations, and/or interactions as required.
  • Monitor entrances, lobbies, and adjacent areas for suspicious behavior and policy violations, helping to deter unauthorized access and support orderly operations at the location.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have at least 2 years of law enforcement, military police, and/or corrections experience.
  • Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
