What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while following post orders and reporting protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations, with activities varying by site conditions.
  • Monitor access points, verify credentials and/or authorizations, and document unusual activity, incidents, and security-related concerns according to site procedures.
  • Support a visible armed presence that may help to deter unauthorized activity while maintaining professionalism during interactions with employees, visitors, and the public.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A state, county, and/or city issued security license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
