Job Description
As a Security Officer - Armed Property Driver in New Orleans, LA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents by conducting routine patrols and maintaining a visible presence throughout a dynamic commercial real estate location. This role requires both armed and driving responsibilities as you interact with tenants, visitors, and staff, providing exceptional customer service and communication. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
- Monitor entrances, exits, and other sensitive areas, maintaining a visible presence to help to deter potential threats.
- Carry and maintain proficiency with assigned firearms and other equipment as required for armed security-related duties.
- Document and report incidents, observations, and suspicious activities according to site protocols.
- Work closely with property management and/or building staff to address security-related concerns specific to a commercial real estate environment.
- Assist visitors, tenants, and/or employees by providing information and directions as needed.
Minimum Requirements:
- An armed guard card or license is required.
- A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
