As a Armed Security Officer in Las Vegas, NV, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries as such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal in a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help maintain a secure environment. You will remain visible to help to deter security-related incidents and respond quickly to situations as they arise. This armed post requires you to demonstrate professionalism and strong communication skills while delivering exceptional customer service. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to clients and visitors at the retail or mall location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing armed patrol protocols as required by the location.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the retail or mall premises and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and promote a secure environment.
- Observe and report any unusual activity or security-related concerns to the appropriate Allied Universal personnel and/or law enforcement as needed.
- Assist with access control, monitoring entrances and exits to help to deter unauthorized entry or prohibited activity within the location.
- Support Allied Universal and client staff during emergency situations, including evacuations or medical incidents, by following established procedures.
- Document all incidents, observations, and activities in accordance with Allied Universal and client policies.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or possess a college degree.
- Possess an armed guard card or license.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
