What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or contractors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control activities, and emergency response actions at a government location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or public officials as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials, control access to restricted areas, and report policy violations, suspicious activity, and/or unusual conditions according to post orders.
  • Carry and maintain assigned armed equipment in accordance with Allied Universal policies, post requirements, and applicable laws, while exercising sound judgment during daily duties and incident response.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Possess an armed guard card or license as required.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
