Security+ certification Major Duties & Responsibilities: • Install, configure, and maintain operating system workstations and servers, including web servers, in support of business processing requirements. • Perform software installations and upgrades to operating systems and layered software packages. • Schedule installations and upgrades and maintain them in accordance with established IT policies and procedures. • Monitor and tune the system to achieve optimum performance levels. • Ensure workstation/server data integrity by evaluating, implementing, and managing appropriate software and hardware solutions. • Ensure data/media recoverability by implementing a schedule of system backups and database archive operations; support media management through internal methods and procedures or through offsite storage and retrieval services; develop and promote standard operating procedures; conduct routine hardware and software audits of workstations and servers to ensure compliance with established standards, policies, and configuration guidelines. • Develop and maintain a comprehensive operating system hardware and software configuration database/library of all supporting documentation. • Provide e-mail host administration. • Configure Exchange Mail Server and continually update its configuration to ensure compliance with all applicable Army regulations. • Set up and configure PCs for the local e-mail host administration and ensure proper anti-virus software is installed on each individual computer system within the network. • Troubleshoot and maintain user accounts and mail services. Qualifications: • 5+ years experience in systems administration. • Bachelor’s degree in a related field desired. • Must be Security+ CE certified. • Must hold or be able to obtain MCSA Server 2012 or 2016 certification within six months of hire. • Extensive experience with Microsoft Windows operating systems. • Extensive experience with MECM/SCCM. Knowledge of Powershell and NAS. • Experience working in a physical and virtual environment. • Knowledge of VMWare and related tools and technologies. • Extensive experience with STIGs and Risk Management Framework (RMF). • Must be proficient in all aspects of the system life cycle and understand large-scale system development. • Experience developing enterprise-wide architecture, overseeing detailed design, planning, purchase, installation, and support of enterprise scale storage and computing resources. • Able to adapt to the customer environment and develop an understanding of the business. • Able to analyze complex inputs and translate data into well-defined system requirements. • Comfortable interacting heavily with clients and end users to assess current state of systems and architecture, as well as future needs. • Attitude, adaptability, and ability to learn are paramount. • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
