***$5,000 Sign On Bonus*** Our NORAD Operations Group Selected by the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center's Strategic Warning and Surveillance Systems Division for Operations, Maintenance, and Sustainment (OM&S) of critical mission systems for the North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) Cheyenne Mountain Complex (NCMC), we support the Integrated Tactical Warning/Attack Assessment (ITW/AA) and Space Support Contract II (NISSC II). Since 2020, through the (ITW/AA) and Space Support Contract II (NISSC II), has provided: • Operations, maintenance, and Sustainment of current and legacy systems for the surveillance and cataloging of manmade objects in space. • Mitigation of orbital conflicts. • Threat warnings and control from airborne, land-based, and space-based systems for threat activities. • Operations and maintenance of classified communications. • Software development and integration. NISSC II supports the classified communications and processing for Command and Control (C2) capability and legacy space C2 systems located at: • Cheyenne Mountain Space Force Station (CMSFS), Colorado • Peterson Space Force Base (PSFB), Colorado • Offutt Air Force Base, Nebraska • Vandenberg Space Force Base, California • Numerous sensor and forward operator sites around the world Description of Duties: The Kubernetes Engineer supports North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) on the Integrated Tactical Warning/Attack Assessment (ITW/AA) and Space Support Contract II (NISSC II). The candidate will: As a Kubernetes Engineer, you will be responsible for deploying, configuring, and maintaining secure and resilient Kubernetes environments for our application teams. You will play a critical role in ensuring that our platform is easy to use, reliable, and resistant to disruptions. By incorporating good DevSecOps practices, you will help improve the overall security and stability of our Kubernetes clusters. You will ensure that the platform enables application developers to deliver value while exceeding customer needs for stability and security. Typical duties include the following: • Creation and sustainment of Kubernetes clusters • Installation, configuration, testing, and sustainment of DevSecOps tools • Integration and automation of the DevSecOps tools to enable CI/CD • Implementing automation in cluster and tool creation • Implementing process and procedures for utilizing the DevSecOps pipeline • Maintenance of the DevSecOps pipeline to ensure availability to the software developers • Rapid resolution of DevSecOps pipeline issues • Position may require at times, night and/or weekend work to maintain a secure and resilient system The successful candidate will: • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills • Detail oriented This position will be filled and work onsite in Colorado Springs, CO Resumes, in month and year format, must be submitted with application in order to be considered for the position. Basic Requirements: • Clearance: Active Secret • IAT Level II Certification (CCNA-Security, CySA , GICSP, GSEC, Security CE, CND, SSCP) • 6 or more directly related IT experience • 7 years general work experience • 3 or more years of experience working with containerized and/or cloud platforms and implementing DevSecOps practices • 2 or more years of experience deploying and maintaining VMWare Tanzu clusters • Experience with containerization and microservices • Experience of CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and infrastructure as code (IAC) principles • Experience working with Kubernetes Desired Requirements: • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field and over 5 years DevSecOps work experience • Experience Implemented CI/CD deployment pipelines for Platform as a Service (PaaS) and Kubernetes, re-factored software projects for integration in larger ecosystem of applications • Experience implementing DevSecOps in a container ecosystem • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) platforms, like Terraform and Ansible • Experience in Test Driven Development and Continuous Integration Environments • Experience implementing DevSecOps pipelines in a VMware Tanzu environment This position is expected to pay $145,000 - $160,000 annually; depending on experience, education, and any certifications that are directly related to the position.
