The Infrastructure Analysis team is a critical component of our long-range planning process and competitive strategy. Responsible for modeling our long-term strategic infrastructure needs (i.e. gates and airspace), this team plays a critical role in shaping our 5-year plan. On a closer time horizon, the team is instrumental to our ongoing network plans at the hub and spoke level and supports gating, airline partner integration, works closely with the Corporate Real Estate (CRE) team, and a plethora of other critical activities. In this job, you'll be part of one of the most impactful pillars of American Airlines' strategy and learn the interdisciplinary skills necessary to successfully support this process
What you'll do
- Provide near-term enplanement forecasts to CRE for airport budget planning
- Support Network Planning (NP) in planning schedules around construction (runway closures, terminal/gate/jetbridge projects, etc.)
- Monitor compliance with Minimum Utilization Requirements at hubs/strategic spokes and advise NP accordingly
- Coordinate with CRE about upcoming network/schedule plans that will affect AA’s terminal/gate needs
- Support the Customer Experience team with network data needed for lounge sizing estimates, prioritization, etc
- Collaborate with the Network Innovation team to ensure long-range schedules are built within expected infrastructure constraints
- Produce long-term hub enplanement forecasts to assess gate needs
- Assist CRE in evaluating airport Master Plans that are likely to have a significant impact on AA
All you'll need for success
Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience/training
- Minimum 3 years’ relevant experience
Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience
- Advanced degree
- Experience in airline departments such as Network Planning, Revenue Management, or Financial Analysis

- Ability to solve complex problems and puzzles in a constrained and dynamic environment

- Knowledge of AirVision Schedule Manager (Scheduling)
