A week in the life of a Mechanical Engineer II: * Develops submarine shipboard alterations. * Conduct static analyses of mechanical structures. * Conduct hydrodynamic analyses under a variety of at-sea operational conditions. * Develop models to predict performance. * Assist the Design Team with material selection based on in-process stress calculations as well as commercial and/or military specifications. * Conduct quality assurance reviews of design and engineering products * Interface with customers and government sponsors.
