MECHANICAL ENGINEER II - ABILITY TO OBTAIN A SECRET CLEARANCE WITH SECURITY CLEARANCE

A week in the life of a Mechanical Engineer II: * Develops submarine shipboard alterations. * Conduct static analyses of mechanical structures. * Conduct hydrodynamic analyses under a variety of at-sea operational conditions. * Develop models to predict performance. * Assist the Design Team with material selection based on in-process stress calculations as well as commercial and/or military specifications. * Conduct quality assurance reviews of design and engineering products * Interface with customers and government sponsors. Job Requirements * Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Civil or Structural Engineering. * Eligible to obtain a secret clearance At least 2+ years of professional experience in: * AutoCAD and AutoDesk Inventor or Solidworks * MATHCAD Engineering Mathematics Software (or similar software) Founded in 1975, AMERICAN SYSTEMS is one of the largest employee-owned companies in the United States.
