TECHNICAL WRITER - SECRET CLEARANCE WITH SECURITY CLEARANCE

We are looking for a Technical Writer with a Secret clearance or higher to join our Naval Surface Warfare Center Team! *This job posting is for upcoming opportunities with AMERICAN SYSTEMS* As a Technical Writer, you will: * Analyze and prepare documentation, write, edit, and interpret technical documentation standards and prepare documentation accordingly. * Receive a robust benefits package that includes our Employee Stock Ownership Plan ! A week in the life of a Technical Writer: * Write a variety of technical articles, reports, brochures, and/or manuals for documentation for a wide range of uses. * Coordinate the display of graphics and the production of the document. * Ensure content is of high quality and conforms with standards. * Help author reports, plan and strategy documents, and meeting minutes. Job Requirements * Ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance * At least (3) years of experience, background, and knowledge of one or more Defense Programs is required. * BA or BS degree from an accredited college or university in English, Communications, or Information Technology. * Excellent verbal and written communication skills * Planning and organization skills. The salary/hourly range for this position is $65,000-$85,000. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
