Let’s change the world. This is a field-based position for the Cardiometabolic Senior Medical Science Liaison (CVM Sr MSL) therapeutic area within the US Medical team. The CVM Sr MSL will interact with Cardiometabolic Opinion Leaders and Healthcare Decision Makers to communicate and advance the scientific platform as aligned with Amgen's goals and objectives.ResponsibilitiesEducate and communicate clinical value, outcomes, and economic data to payers, providers, key partners, advocacy, and access enablersProvide in depth clinical and economic support to payers, IDNs, and formulary committees, sharing feedback to key internal partners on customer trends in interpreting and using value evidence, reimbursement, and payer policy. May serve as main medical point of contact at prioritized local payer, regional payer, and IDN accountsRespond to unsolicited inquiries consistent with the MSL compliance standardsImplement scientific engagement plan according to annual MSL goals and metricsDevelop and implement local OL plans in line with SEPLead and/or participate on project teams that support MSL strategies and tactics as delegated by MSL leadershipLead and support congress activities as aligned with strategy. May serve as congress leadCompliantly collaborate with cross-functional colleagues. May serve as main point of contactMaintain clinical acumen and expertise and timely completion of assigned training. The qualified professional we seek is a Sr. MSL with these qualifications.Basic Qualifications:Doctorate degree & 2 years of Medical Affairs experienceORMaster’s degree & 6 years of Medical Affairs experienceORBachelor’s degree & 8 years of Medical Affairs experiencePreferred Qualifications:Pharm.D., Ph.D., M.D. or D.O. (other doctoral degrees considered)Five years of experience in Scientific/Medical Affairs at a biotech or pharmaceutical companyAt least three years in a Medical Science Liaison roleFive or more years focused on clinical practice, clinical research, or medical research.
