We are seeking a dedicated Mental Health Monitor/Sitter (MHM/S) to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for monitoring and ensuring the safety of patients who are at risk of self-harm or harm to others.
You will observe patients through visual or video monitoring, document changes, and report your findings to the licensed nurse. Your attention to detail and quick response will play a vital role in patient care and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
Monitor patients on suicide watch, in therapeutic restraints, or considered at-risk.
Perform visual or video monitoring and report observations to the licensed nurse.
Accurately document patient activity, changes, and interventions in the patient chart. Follow instructions and directives from the medical staff in charge of the unit.
Complete all required documentation in a timely and legible manner.
Qualifications/Requirements:
High school diploma or GED required.
Experience monitoring multiple screens and observing patient behavior.
Minimum of six months of experience in a clerical or support role in a medical setting.
Preferred Qualifications:
Weekend availability.
Experience working with at-risk or vulnerable populations is a plus.
