Surgical Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA)

Implant & Oral Surgery Focus | Full-Time | Sarasota, FL

Are you a highly skilled Surgical Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) who thrives in a fast-paced, surgical environment and loves helping patients say “yes” to life-changing treatment?

We are building a state-of-the-art implant and surgical dental practice in Sarasota, Florida, and we’re looking for a confident, knowledgeable, and driven Surgical Dental Assistant who wants to grow with an elite team.

This is not a “clock in, clock out” position. This is a career opportunity to help launch and build something exceptional.

About the Role

This is a full time opportunity where we see patients 3–4 clinical days per week, with additional administrative days focused on case presentation, patient coordination, systems building, and growth strategy.

You will play a critical role in:

• Assisting with dental implant placement, bone grafting, extractions, full arch cases, and surgical procedures
• Providing advanced chairside support in a surgical setting
• Taking CBCT scans and digital impressions
• Explaining complex treatment plans with clarity and confidence
• Helping patients feel calm, informed, and excited about moving forward
• Assisting with treatment plan presentation and dental case acceptance
• Collecting payments day of service (DOS)
• Coordinating financing options and payment arrangements
• Supporting sterilization and OSHA compliance standards
• Contributing to practice growth and systems development

Ideal Candidate

You are:

• A licensed Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) in Florida
• Experienced in oral surgery, implant dentistry, and surgical assisting
• Comfortable explaining treatment plans, surgical procedures, and costs
• Skilled in case presentation and helping patients move forward confidently
• Experienced collecting payments and discussing financing options
• Highly organized and detail-oriented
• Professional, polished, and emotionally intelligent
• Hungry to grow with a startup-style, high-performance practice

Bonus if you have:

• Experience with All-on-X / full arch implant cases
• Knowledge of CBCT imaging
• Experience in a fee-for-service or implant-focused office
• Cross-training in front office / treatment coordination
