We are seeking experienced Infrastructure and Database Engineers to join our award-winning team. This role is critical for deploying, managing, and migrating mission-critical applications, such as ERP systems, to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), ensuring high performance, scalability, and security. Key Responsibilities:
Infrastructure Deployment & Management: Deploy and manage complex networks across various cloud platforms, with a focus on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure. Spearhead automated and repeatable deployment processes, ensuring stability and rapid troubleshooting. Collaborate closely with development teams to achieve engineering milestones, with an emphasis on deployment automation.
Scripting & Automation: Develop and maintain automation scripts using Bash and Python to streamline infrastructure management tasks, automate routine processes, and enhance system efficiency. Ensure that scripting practices follow best practices for security and maintainability.
Infrastructure as Code: Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like HashiCorp Terraform or Opentofu to manage and automate cloud infrastructure. Develop, test, and maintain IaC scripts to ensure consistency, reliability, and security of infrastructure deployments.
Database Design & Implementation: Design, develop, install, and maintain database management systems, including data modeling, security, and monitoring. Develop conceptual, logical, and physical designs for database solutions within an Agile development environment.
Migration & Optimization: Lead the migration of mission-critical applications, including ERP systems, to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure. Optimize the deployment and operation of Oracle databases using Oracle Autonomous Database, Oracle Autonomous Linux, Oracle RAC, and Data Guard.
Security & Compliance: Ensure all infrastructure and databases comply with DoD security standards and other regulations. Implement robust security measures and maintain compliance with DoD 8570.1-M standards.
Technical Support & Documentation: Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for databases and infrastructure in OCI, particularly those supporting mission-critical applications. Develop and maintain detailed documentation, training materials, and operational guides. Qualifications:
Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent. 2+ years of relevant IT experience with a focus on cloud infrastructure, database engineering, and Oracle database administration.
Technical Expertise: Experience with deploying and scaling SaaS/Cloud applications on OCI, and proficiency in Docker and container management platforms like Kubernetes. Proficiency in Oracle Cloud management tools, SQL, PL/SQL, and database optimization techniques. Experience with Oracle Autonomous Database, Oracle Autonomous Linux, Oracle RAC, and Data Guard. Strong scripting skills in Bash and Python. Experience with Infrastructure as Code using tools like HashiCorp Terraform or Opentofu. Preferred Certifications:
