Our professionals in this group apply extensive specialty knowledge in their delivery of efficient and innovative tax services to entrepreneurs and family groups in the Greater Washington DC area. Hybrid to Washington DC is preferred, but strong remote candidates will be considered for the role.Position Responsibilities:Provide tax planning and consulting advice on estate, gift and trust mattersDevelop and provide tax planning strategies internally and externallyAnalyze estate planning documents to determine the proper treatment of assets and liabilities for tax purposesReview tax compliance related to estates, gifts and trustsSupervise tax staff to ensure that tax engagements are completed in an efficient and timely manner; Serve as mentor to staff and aid in their developmentStrengthen existing client relationships and assist in new business development effortsAttend and participate in industry specific forums and networking eventsManage key relationships with critical business contacts, clients and referral sourcesIdentify additional opportunities for service growth to offer current clientsAct as a firm leader and serve as resident expert for the firm on all estate, gift and trust tax mattersQualifications:10+ years with estate, gift & trust, and individual income tax returnsExtensive knowledge of the preparation/review of trusts, estate, gift tax returns and trust accountingEstate planning experience/expertiseActive CPA or CFP license requiredDegree in Accounting or related field requiredMasters in Taxation, JD or other applicable advanced degree preferred, but not requiredExceptional writing skillsStrong accounting, analytical, organizational, and multi-tasking skillsExcellent presentation and communication abilitiesWillingness to travel locally (DC, MD, VA) on a limited basis$175,000 - $320,000 a yearThe salary range for this opportunity is stated above.
