The accountant is responsible for AR/AP, accounts reconciliation, cash payment processing, payroll processing and accounting data entry. Following and complying with GAAP and company processes, procedures and regulations the accountant provides accounting support to the CFO and Controller in all aspects of accounting. Focusing on AR/AP, Payroll, Account Reconciliation and Financial Data Entry.



Essential Duties:

  • Processes weekly payroll, vehicle allowance, expense reimbursements and incentive/bonus payments through payroll software
  • Facilitate and process weekly check runs, process and collect appropriate lien waivers
  • Monthly expense account analysis and reporting
  • Responsible for full AR/AP scope from start to finish
  • Assist with general ledger accounting as needed and directed
  • Data entry, reconciliation, analysis and reporting on vendors, sub-contractors and various accounts
  • Prepare accurate and timely daily, weekly and monthly reports and analysis for management and other users as needed
  • Obtain and maintain a thorough understanding of the financial reporting and general ledger structure
  • Assist Accounting department and Management as needed with financial information, research and reporting
  • Other duties as assigned and needed

Requirements:

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience Requirements:

  • Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 5 + years' experience in professional accounting
  • GAAP: 3 years (preferred)
  • GL accounting & reconciliation: 3 years (preferred)
  • Payroll Processing: 2 years (preferred)
  • Proficient in Office 365, ERP Knowledge (preferred)
  • Must have proficient knowledge of Excel: able to create and read formulas create graphs for analysis, and strong navigation and editing ability
  • Must be able to learn industry specific software
  • Ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, detail oriented, high degree of accuracy
  • Must possess the ability to handle confidential information, adhere to HIPPA requirements and exhibit the highest degree of confidentiality, discretion and strict adherence to process a must
  • Must possess and be able to demonstrate the ability to work collaboratively across functions to accomplish goals and meet overall company objectives required
  • Strong verbal, written communication skills with ability to successfully communicate complex quantitative data


Physical Demands:

  • Must be able to remain in stationary position 50% of the time
  • Must be able to move, traverse inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery and collaborate
  • Constantly operate a computer and other office productivity machinery
  • Constantly positions self to maintain files in file cabinets
  • The ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand
  • The ability to observe details at close range
