About the Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced, analytical, and highly motivated Budget Analyst to join our client’s dynamic Budget Management team. In this role, you will specifically support the marketing and content budgets for our client’s suite of digital services and applications.

Key Responsibilities

Budget Ownership: Manage functional marketing and content budgets, driving bi-weekly meetings with key stakeholders to ensure all forecasts remain current and accurate.

Data Analysis & Variance Reporting: Analyze large data sets to understand quarterly P&L actuals. Compare actuals vs. forecasts, identify under/over-spend across projects, and present clear variance explanations and insights.

Financial Reconciliation: Meticulously audit, reconcile, and actualize data for previous quarters across multiple forecasting tools. Track invoices against forecasted spend and PO balances.

Quarter-End Management: Handle crucial quarter-end accruals for marketing expenses and ensure smooth financial close processes.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with external teams and marketing partners; comfortably lead calls and present financial insights to groups at varying levels.

Ad Hoc Projects: Take the initiative on process improvements, troubleshooting budget/PO issues, and executing special financial projects as needed.
Qualifications & Skills
Experience & Education:

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.

Experience: 5 to 7 years of relevant experience in Finance, Accounting, or Budgeting is ideal. (Candidates with up to 10 years of experience will be considered if comfortable in a hands-on, individual contributor role).
Technical Skills:

Core Accounting Knowledge: Solid understanding of fundamental Finance and Accounting concepts, with a strong emphasis on accruals, P&Ls, forecasting, and fiscal planning.

Advanced Excel: Extensive experience with Excel is a must; you should be highly proficient at auditing, reconciling, and manipulating large, complex data sets from multiple sources.

Tool Adaptability: Ability to quickly adapt to new financial tools and understand how complex data intersects within them.

Strong Communicator: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence to lead meetings and present data clearly to creative and marketing stakeholders.

Thrives in Ambiguity: Ability to solve problems independently and drive results with minimal supervision in a highly matrixed organization.

Global Flexibility: Willingness to maintain a flexible schedule to virtually collaborate with international partners (APAC/EMEA) when required.
